What an incredible start to the year it’s been! We’re only one week in, and we’ve already welcomed SIX new students to the Kaizen family! 🙌 It’s shaping up to be an exciting year ahead, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have you all with us as we dive into 2025.

A Busy Start to the Year!

It’s been a buzzing first week back in classes, with energy through the roof and a fantastic atmosphere. We’ve got loads going on behind the scenes as well, and we’re working hard to ensure that this year brings even more opportunities for growth, development, and fun!

Spond: Our New Platform for Bookings & Communication

As many of you may have already noticed, we’re rolling out Spond as our new platform for bookings, communications, and membership management. This is going to make everything from class bookings to updates and announcements smoother and more efficient. If you’ve received your invitation to join Spond, please make sure to sign up! If not, or if you need any help setting it up, just reach out to us — we’re happy to assist.

New Licence Books Coming Soon!

We’ll be handing out new licence books at the end of the month during the grading. These will be essential for tracking your progress, so make sure to grab yours when they’re available!

Marketing Events: Let’s Spread the Word!

We’re are planning some marketing events over the next few months, and we’d love to get some of our students or parents involved. If you’re interested in helping out with these events and showing off the awesome things we do at Kaizen, please get in touch! It’s a great opportunity to support the club and be part of something exciting. We’ll discuss the details and what’s involved when you reach out.

Bring a Friend: Share the Fun!

We all have friends, and the chances are, we like the same things! If you love martial arts, there’s a good chance your friends might enjoy it too. So, why not invite them to come along for a FREE TASTER CLASS and let them experience the fun for themselves? There’s nothing like sharing the excitement of martial arts with friends, and it makes classes even more enjoyable when you get to train together!

Student of the Week/Year: Recognition for Hard Work

We’re excited to bring back our Student of the Week award! This is a special recognition given to students who show incredible effort, determination, kindness, self-control, respect, and many other qualities that make them stand out. The top Students of the Week will be rewarded with prizes at the end of the year, and we’ll have a special Student of the Year trophy and certificate to celebrate the student who has shown exceptional growth and dedication through out 2025!

So, make sure you’re always giving your best in class — you never know when you might be named Student of the Week! 🏆

Competitions: Time to Challenge Yourself!

For those of you interested in testing your skills in competitions, we’ll be putting together a list of events happening throughout the year. Competitions are a fantastic way to push your limits, face new challenges, and gain a sense of achievement. Plus, who knows? You might even walk away with a medal or trophy!

At Kaizen, we have several British Champions in both continuous and points-based competitions. We’d love to build a small team to train together in competition-focused classes, support each other during events, and represent our club at these exciting competitions. If this sounds like something you’d like to get involved in, let us know!
